Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is an annual celebration of innovators taking place Nov. 17-23, 2025. Global Entrepreneurship Week North Texas, a volunteer initiative lead by entrepreneurs from six counties, will host numerous events for the week-long period.
The inaugural State of Entrepreneurship: Arlington, co-sponsored by the City of Arlington and the Arlington Economic Development Corporation (EDC) among others, will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 1010 North Collins Street in Arlington.
While State of Entrepreneurship is a mainstay in the North Texas Global Entrepreneurship Week event lineup, this is the first time it will take place in Arlington.
“We felt it was important to highlight all of the amazing things happening in Arlington and shine a light on the opportunities for entrepreneurs available in the heart of the region,” said Darlisa Diltz, event organizer and chief entrepreneurship strategist at Foundations Entrepreneur Development Company.
Event attendees can expect a VIP reception, a vendor marketplace and a curated panel discussion with high-powered networking.
“We’re always looking for ways to support entrepreneurs in our city. This event is a great way to not only celebrate them, but give back to our small business community by providing more resources and ways to collaborate,” said Kay Brown-Patrick, assistant executive director of the Arlington EDC.
Diltz added that the event aims to provide entrepreneurs respite from the daily challenges of running a business and give them the chance to connect with others in the community.
Registration is required for the State of Entrepreneurship event. There is no cost to attend and it is open to all entrepreneurs from across the region and beyond.
