The City’s Office of Communications won seven statewide awards at the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) Conference on June 5, 2025 in Fort Worth. Two of these awards went to economic development projects, including the Arlington EDC Website and the FY2024 Economic Development Annual Report, with both entries winning first place in their categories.
The Arlington EDC website was launched in June 2024 and the judges appreciated its lively, engaging content and visualized data. The FY2024 Economic Development Annual Report, published in November 2024, detailed projects and initiatives from the City’s Office of Economic Development (OED) and the Arlington EDC. The judges noted its production quality, clear infographics and beautiful design.
The TAMI Awards recognize outstanding communication by Texas communities in a variety of categories including website, social media, video production and publications. Judging is conducted by non-TAMIO members with expertise in communications and municipal government. This year’s awards program received nearly 700 entries from municipalities across the state of Texas.
