The City of Arlington Office of Communication took home top honors at the City-County Communications & Marketing Association Savvy Awards on Sept. 4. The City received six awards – including the best in show – for its video programming, social media, budget communications and website efforts.

The Arlington EDC website, which earned a Savvy Award (first place) in the issue-specific website category, was launched in June 2024. Judges said the site’s clean, visually engaging design immediately communicates professionalism and credibility, making it easy for businesses and investors to find key data and success stories.

The Savvy Awards, held in conjunction with 3CMA's Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, recognize outstanding local government achievements in communications, public-sector marketing and citizen-government relationships. This year’s awards featured more than 1,100 submissions in various categories.

Earlier this year, the EDC website received first-place awards from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO).
